Originally from Mexico, Noe Moreno has called Arkadelphia home for the past 25 years. Seven years ago, he took a leap of faith that set a new path for his future. With just a few dollars in his pocket, he purchased a $10 push mower at a yard sale and began building his landscaping business.

For several years, Noe balanced a full time job while growing his business on the side. He stayed focused on his dream of turning hard work into a full time livelihood. With guidance and support from Southern Bancorp's commercial lending team, that dream became a reality.

With access to flexible capital and the support of a CDFI that believed in his potential, Noe grew a one person lawn care operation into a thriving landscaping and dumpster rental service. Today, his business supports him full time and creates jobs for others in the community.

“Truth be told, I am now living the American Dream,” said Noe Moreno.
